Who We Are

Troop 2273 is a family-friendly, all-girl troop that welcomes scouts of all nationalities and religions. We are proud to be registered with the Golden Gate Area Council and dedicated to helping girls of our generation experience high-adventure activities, build practical life skills, and form lasting friendships with fellow scouts.

Whether you are brand new to the world of Scouting or an experienced Cub Scout ready for the next step, we invite you to join our troop with open arms!

What We Do

Troop 2273 gives young girls the opportunity to earn Scouting’s highest rank—Eagle Scout. We are an active troop, holding at least one outdoor or adventure activity and a troop meeting each month.

Our meetings take place at Delaine Eastin Elementary School in Union City on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month. We’ve scheduled our meetings thoughtfully to avoid conflicting with academics, making it convenient for scouts to participate as the weekend approaches.

As a girl-led troop, our scouts plan and lead activities, often with a partner, which helps develop leadership and teamwork skills.

With Troop 2273, scouts enjoy a wide variety of activities throughout the year, including:

• Day hikes and overnight campouts

• Indoor rallies and camporees

• Backpacking trips and family camping

• Community events and service projects

• Winter camps

• Trail to first-class camps

• Week-long summer camps
  
  

Scouts also have the opportunity to earn merit badges of their choice, gaining hands-on skills in areas such as First Aid, Archery, Cooking, Geocaching, Lifesaving, and more. Troop 2273 is all about adventure, leadership, friendship, and growth—with something for everyone to discover.

Achievements

2026

This year, our troop won Mission Peak's Annual Indoor Rally for the third time in a row. We trained for at least 3 months to prepare for the competition. This achievement would not have been possible without our SPL, Scoutmaster, parent volunteers, team captains, and fellow scouts. 

2025

This year, our troop trained hard for the Mission Peaks Yearly Indoor Rally and proudly secured 1st place once again. We ranked in all events, including Stick Rally, which was a new achievement for us. We were honored to be recognized as the first girl troop to win the Indoor Rally two times in a row ever! The success of this achievement is thanks to the parent volunteers, team captains, Scout Patrol Leader (SPL), and our scoutmaster.

2024

Troop 2273 Girls is proud to share our accomplishments. We earned a 1st place podium finish at the Mission Peak Indoor Rally—becoming the first girls’ troop to achieve this. The event tested a wide range of scouting skills, and our scouts excelled, earning 1st place in the Knot Rally Race, 1st place in First Aid, and 3rd place in the Compass Rally. Our many days of training and preparation truly paid off on competition day.

2023

We earned a 3rd place podium finish at the Mission Peak Indoor Rally—becoming the first girls’ troop to achieve this on our very first attempt.

2022-2021

Over the years, our troop has attended two summer camps, where scouts earned multiple merit badges such as First Aid, Archery, Leatherwork, and many more. During one of our week-long summer camps, we were honored with the Spirit Troop Award—a recognition given only to troops who demonstrate the highest level of spirit and friendship, through traditions such as custom yells, teamwork, and camaraderie.

As time goes on, we continue to grow, learn from our experiences, and build new skills. We are extremely proud of our scouts for their dedication, teamwork, and hard work at every campout and competition.
